Why Film in the Highlands?

The Highlands is incredibly film friendly with dramatic landscapes and hugely diverse places – from some of the most wild regions in Europe to picturesque towns. Productions working in the region will find it a great place to work and, as so many productions do, will find themselves coming back again and again.

As a popular tourism destination, the Highlands has a great choice of accommodation right across the region. All areas are easily accessible by road, rail and air making it easy to reach for both UK and international crews.

What We Offer

The majority of the land in the Highlands is privately owned and Screen Highland can assist productions in making connections with the relevant landowners to secure the best filming locations.

We work with many of the leading film businesses from around the world. The region also boasts a growing talent pool, with skilled and well experienced businesses and freelancers who are always ready to assist with visiting productions.
